Activities that consist of high impact and repetitive motion should be avoided. You should avoid running, tennis, jumping and high-impact aerobics.


There are various types of medication available for treating arthritis. Although most of them are relatively safe, some of them have really dangerous side effects. Consult your doctor before taking any kind of medication.

What to do

You can take over-the-counter pain medications such as acetaminophen or ibuprofen because they can help you relieve arthritis pain caused by various activities.

Try applying cream that contains capsaicin to your joints to relieve arthritis pain. You can use it alone or with oral medication.

Make sure to consult your doctor for any over-the-counter medication.

What not to do

Don’t take a treatment for a very long period of time without consulting your doctor to make sure you don’t get any side effects

Make sure you take arthritis treatment on time. Don’t try to ignore the arthritis pain.

Depression is very common in people with arthritis. Treating depression with antidepressants or other methods also reduces the symptoms of arthritis.
